Wednesday Wonder - Bernat Yarn

It's Wednesday and I'm wondering... I bought this:
and I don't know what to make with it? I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas to help me to be inspired.
edited: Jan.31/09 - thanks to Doris at Bernat who tells me this was Bernat Max, but it is a discontinued product. and thanks to everyone who gave me ideas!

  1. Hi! Lovely blog - the yarn is gorgeous... maybe you can make one of those neck wraps that are all the rage (or do you have enough for a scarf?) with the a cute button. I love the thick and thin texture and the colors. Kind of like robin's egg. Or maybe you could knit cuffs of mittens in the yarn, and do the hand part with a coordinating consistent texture yarn... just ideas.. can't wait to see what you come up with.

  2. try knitting a tension square with different needles and stitches to see where inspiration takes you. I reckon it would make a lovely textured scarf.

  3. Hi Anne, welcome to the world of blogging! Beware, it gets addictive, LOL. I update my blog almost everyday (but then I am doing a quilt block a day, which I post).

I LOVE the yarn! It had the thick and thin texture of some handspun. You can knit anything with it. I'm currently knitting a shrug out of a thick and thin I handspun, and I've knit hats and scarves out of others. Don't think I'd attempt slippers/socks though.

    Happy knitting!
