World Centres "Scrabble" Game
I am not sure where I found this game.
If you know who created it, please let me know so I can give credit.
Equipment:
·
set of scrabble letters
in bag
·
question cards
·
answer pages
·
one die per group
This game is played in small groups.
The girls are at a table, the questions are
on a table at the other end of the room.
The leader holds the bag with the scrabble
letters.
A "magic" number is chosen.
One girl in each group rolls the die until
she rolls the magic number; then she (or any group member) runs to get a
question. The question is brought back
to the group to discuss the answer.
The question is then taken to the leader to
give the answer; if correct, she draws a letter from the bag and takes it back
to the group.
As she is doing this, the group can be
rolling the die for the next question.
Several ways to play:
- predetermine a word that must be spelled
with the letters drawn
- use the letters drawn to make up multiple
words relating to the World Centres
